Inside: How to Draw a Mushroom in 4 Short Steps.

Hello Artists! Today we are drawing a mushroom.

Mushrooms are mysterious things, they grow everywhere yet we know very little about them. They are thought to be the magical homes of gnomes and fairies. How cool!

Mushrooms are great for soups, salads, and many pan-fried dishes. They can be so much fun to draw as well! Whenever I find a mushroom growing out in the wild I get so excited and curious, though I don’t get too close. They can be poisonous you know!

So a good way to satisfy my curiosity without putting myself in danger is to simply draw the mushrooms I see. There are actually thousands of types of mushrooms, some look like balloons, coral, or even turkey tail feathers!

Almost every drawn version of a mushroom is a red button type. So, we will start there.

Supplies You’ll Need:

When it comes to supplies, you may feel like you aren’t good enough. But this is so not the case. It does not matter the kind of quality your tools are as long as they do what they are supposed to! Sure, having quality tools can be helpful, but if you don’t have the means to get them you can absolutely still enjoy drawing! So get out your supplies and let’s get into this.

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Colored pencil or crayons

Artist tip: Artists, it is very important to know how much space you are working with on your paper. Otherwise, you run the risk of running out of space.

To help avoid this disaster, take your pencil and draw a little dot at the center of the page.

No need to get the ruler out, it doesn’t need to be PERFECT.

This is just to give you a broad idea.
